It looks like there are a lot of 2022 orders that got pushed over to 2023 and Volvo will have to fill those too. In Canada, there's a stop sale notice to dealers for all the T8 models as Volvo is unable to fill orders.

I also have a 2023 V60 Polestar on order and I honestly don't think it will get filled. Hopefully they will still produces these for 2024 I will get an early one.

That's really amazing!

Dealers here in Canada cannot even submit orders for the V60 recharge and told not to take anymore deposits! I have a deposit down and it will likely be a MY24 if I am lucky.

Yeah my original two I am still waiting for approval on. I've passed on taking additional deposits myself already. You're lucky to have a slot!
This really makes me wonder how they are allocating these V60 PE cars. Maybe I should leave a deposit in every Volvo dealerships in major cities across Canada...LOL

When I was in the other day for service was told “regular V60” coming back to the States, just a question of production constraints which are still very limited. It’s hard to get any V60 right now and they are snapped up right away. Would love a non-PE T8. But with the A4/ S4 Avant coming back in 2024, might just switch to Audi.
seriously hard to believe anything that comes out of "most" dealers. They always give fake news.

I received an update on my v60 PSE order from my dealer today--> Volvo has shown them an order for my car, but they (Volvo Cars in Sweded) have not approved it yet.
so some movement forward, but a long ways away
Sorry to say but that's pretty much a no movement. Every deposit will be submitted as an order waiting to be full fill with an allocation.

I spoke with my dealer ( Toronto Eastern Ave ) about trading in my 2022 R-Design for a Recharge T8 V60, my sales rep told me its currently over a "2yr" wait !! guess I'm stuck with this bag of nuts & bolts...I kidd !
At least they are honest about it. I called around and most dealers will just take a deposit and lie to you saying "we can likely get you one a few months".

You seem to know a lot, so is this no more that just acknowledgement of the request for a car? Previously, the dealer had received no reply at all (My request and deposit dates back to late june), is this really no movement? I am just trying to understand if I am try to swim upstream here and should move on.
Dealers like to make you think there's movement to give you false hope. All they did was take your deposit and then submitted an order in the Volvo system. It it doss is sit there with no movement until they assign you an allocation (production) number.

I just put a $3000 deposit for an order after my dealer had lunch with Volvo Canada today. They were given 1 allocation for a 2024 V60 PE. Dealer submitted the order and now I wait for more news. 🤞🏼
Long wait, but it will be worth it? I was about to buy an ultra low km 2020 V60 R today before my phone rang with the news.
LOL 2024 allocation and submitting that order in when there's no pricing, sounds like your dealer is full of crap and you will be waiting to hear anything until mid next year.

How so? 2023 Orders have been closed and Volvo opened ordering for 2024’s in July. The ownership group owns 4 dealerships and does a lot of volume. Initially the deposit was $1000 to be put in order list, but it increased to $3000 as this is a confirmed allocation and order with approval from Volvo Canada with pricing TBD when they launch (which formed part of the agreement, and which I am fine with. A few thousand extra for the 2024 is a drop in the bucket at this point. Either way, I’m picking up that low km 2020 V60R being sold at a crazy good price to hold me over and will just flip it if/when the 2024 arrives.

2024 ordering opened in July of 2022? Damn, that's one hell of a rollarcoaster ride they taking you on!

Welp, got the news I'd somehow expected but was still dreading. My dealer got an update from Volvo and all their 2023 allocations for the V60 PE have been cancelled due to factory backlog. I am super disappointed.
Some of these dealers out there can be just full of ****. They might not even have any allocation to begin with and lied to you to get a deposit to see if they can get one.

I would call around to every dealer closest to you and then expand your radius as you go. There might be unsold units out there.

I think I'm one of the fortunate ones. I ordered my v60 ultimate in Oct requesting a March delivery. I got an email from my salesman saying a mid December assembly. Found out on Dec 9 it was actually built the previous day and waiting at the ship terminal for the trip over the pond. Eta to Halifax is mid Jan and then a train/truck ride over to Toronto for a delivery eta on valentines day.

Truthfully it's a bit earlier than I want since I'm still recovering from dumping a boatload of cash on a new house lol
Is yours a B6 or a T8? If it's a T8 you got really lucky! Most dealers are saying 1-2 yrs wait and they are not accepting anymore deposits.

I just wanted to share the details of my V60 Polestar order. I initially ordered in July of this year, and the order was entered but not allocated/accepted by Volvo. My order was finally accepted on December 23rd and is scheduled for production in early April. It has an early March order lock date; it's a '23 model. Now I just have to decide between White, Thunder and Silver Dawn. Any input appreciated!

Saw Thunder in person and didnt like it at all. That greyish blue doesnt really match the gold accent on the brakes and seatbelts for me. My first choice is Snow and I won't mind Silver.

I spoke to that dealer last week. It’s been on the floor for two months. I’m going to pass by tomorrow evening and I’ll check it out. Test drive it if I can. I’m into my current vehicle until end of 2023, so I’m not buying now. But a test drive would be nice, to see if I really want a V60 PE.
I remember someone posted here that he went to look at it and the dealer was asking for something like a 10k market adjustment on it.
