I was wondering if Volvo will upgrade the Sensus system to the Google interface, but it seems that's not going to happen as I understand there are some modules and internal hardware involved.
I'm thinking about asking my dealer to do the change and charge me for that.
Anyone's opinion and suggestions are very welcome.

Given used car prices in this environment it would probably be cheaper to sell your car and get another one that has the interface you're interested in.

Not a great idea. You may well end up with hardware conflicts and updates may cause problems. Wayne is right, just trade in for what you want.... though you can't place an S60 order currently, so you'll either have to wait, or find something already on ground or in the pipeline.

I don't think any good dealer would agree to it either.

Thank you for the reply. I'll wait for 2023 and see if the new S60 comes with Google.

Definitely do not do that. I would personally wait until maybe even the 2024 model as the current rendition of the system as it is does not support Apple Car Play, has a multitude of bugs that cause the system to crash, does not support a way to plug in a jump drive for your music and a few other issues that they are still working out. I understand why Volvo went the way of the non-proprietary system. It is a field that is changing swiftly with "new and improved" features coming so quickly that todays "brand new" is tomorrows "old news". Sit tight and let others deal with the frustrating system failures that are currently happening
