The lack of buttons and poor interface drives me batty.

However I drove a new AAOS Volvo and to me it was worse. Maybe because I’m too used to sensus.

It may be the way of the future but I hate it. I haven’t bought a Tesla 3, mostly because of the single middle screen and their touch for everything interface.

If it goes inactive because you haven't placed your hands on the steering wheel/indicated to the car that you're still "there" and paying attention, there is an audible chime and the wheel does vibrate before turning the system off.
You get a first warning (steering wheel vibration + yellow warning on driver's display and HUD), then a second warning (steering wheel vibration + red warning on driver's display and HUD + urgent chime noise), and then it disengages (steering wheel vibration + warning on driver's display and HUD that Pilot Assist was turned off + urgent chime noise).
Yes but if it goes off because it has lost track of the road markings….. it just goes happily on its merry way.
