I would wait to hear from your dealer. Speaking to Volvo directly now would send the wrong message to your dealer and possibly disrupt the communication chain. For now it's out of your hands and I'm sure an answer from Volvo will come soon. You've waited this long and tried several potential solutions, waiting a few more days is not that much in comparison.
