Overall this car is absolutely incredible. I bought it outright, and thus want to treat it right and get the most out if it. If some of these questions have been asked, ---inevitably they have--- I did a pretty extensive search for each one and whereas they are touched on, I would like to explore further. I would like to find solutions and / or advise as to whether issues are under warrantee, and / or are indeed of concern, or are perhaps N.O.N. problems (New Owner Neurosis:facepalm
1. Driver window makes a very loud and somewhat offensive sound when rolling up.
2. Slight shudder between 60-65 mph. Tire balance probably?
3. Brake rotors seem very worn for a car with 2k mi, somewhat pitted, probably from sitting on the lot for 2 yr.
4. Opinions on early oil change? Oil brand recommendations?
5. What is the solution for the Volvo on call? iPhone app hangs at the step where you are supposed to turn car modem off (3rd step?) Called Volvo and dealer and all they could muster was to advise that I reload iPhone app. Tried everything I found on volvoxc forum, didn't find much here. Still doesn't work and would like to use it. I would very much like to remote start and use other on call functionality. I know the system doesn't have the best rep, but surely some basic functionality can be wrung out of it.
6. Is there a 3D model of this car anywhere, specifically of the dash board? I have some ideas for 3D printed phone holder that mounts over the car's screen and can flip down.
Ideally I would like for the dealer to 'deal' with all of the above, save for 4 and 6.
