HVAC fan? Force it off at startup?

There has been another post on here. And had it on one of my XC60 T6s, that when the PCV system /breather box/valve gets clogged, it starts to make quite a horrible noise. This is just one of many possibilities. But one way to check, is while the noise is happening, pull out the oil dipstick or fill cap. If it goes away, that's your culprit.

 

I'd be guessing READ gear.

 

I thought it was only the 3.2's that gad issues with the READ gear.

want to seek help here because don't want to ruin my car.
I have XC60 T6 volvo with 63k miles and I'm having a weird noise while cold start the car which almost go away after 1-2 mins and completely gone after like 15 mins drive.
noise coming from passenger side and sounds like metal rattling noise but not like an injector noise.

what could it be?

Really hard to diagnose, but I've heard of drive belt related issues causing this. I've heard of alternator decoupler pulleys making funny noises on these.

 

Could be exhaust muffler rattle. This does go away when warmed up as described.
