I added an auxiliary transmission cooler to my s60 a few years ago. So far, no leaks. But here's my after the fact question. I spliced into the stock transmission line, they're not rubber, they're the black plastic ...stuff. I used a variable temp heat gun to insert the metal splice. I couldn't think of any other way, so,...Is there any other way? How are those lines fabricated at the factory? Something tells me that what i did you're not supposed to be able to do. Have i compromised the transmission life down the road by using these splices? They are a slightly smaller diameter than the stock factory. ....I know tech on here is a volvo specialist. Anyone else?
