Has anyone done a power steering flush on a 2012 s60. I did this on my 08 silverado and 02 camaro by disconnecting the return line to the pump, plugging the pump suction fitting, connecting a hose to the return hose and then turning the wheel lock to lock while refilling the reservoir as needed ..engine off..this method worked great.....so...
I'd like to do this on the volvo......it should work and where is the return line on the pump. There is a line accessible and visible on the pump but it looks like it is the pressure line...

I flushed power steering fluid on my 2016 5 cylinder by using the hoses connected to the reservoir. Disconnect the return and place in a container...you may need to connect a fitting so as to extend the tubing. Plug the port on the reservoir. Now turn lock to lock and collect used fluid in the container. Refill reservoir and repeat.

Pull out as much fluid from the reservoir before disconnecting the return hose to minimize the leaky mess.

I think I used 2 liters of fluid...or maybe 3.
