Re: 2010 V70 R-Design (RearWheelPaul)

Paul,
With all due disrespect - You've done it by repeating certified and patent lies.
Yes, I call you patent and certified liar.
You knowingly and intentionally provide false statements of facts with reckless disregard to their falsity by taking facts out of context.

Want an example?

RWPaul said:
"Fact: The XC70 weighs 4000 lbs. This is quite heavy for a passenger car."

The reality is:

Toyota Venza AWD V-6 - 4045 Lbs
Nissan Murano AWD - 4,141
Lexus RS AWD - 4,343
BMW 535Xi wagon - 4145 lbs
MB E350 4matic wagon - 4,245 lbs.
Audi A6 Avant - 4222 lbs
Volvo XC70 T6 AWD - 4092 lbs

It seems that XC70 is quite LIGHT for the modern passenger car in its segment

RWPaul said:

"Fact: The price of the XC70 is well above average"

Again, the same tactics. Average of what?

Care to compare?

Toyota Venza AWD V-6 - 4045 Lbs - $29,250
Nissan Murano SL AWD - 4,141 - base price - $33,280
Lexus RS AWD - 4,343 - base price - $38,300
BMW 535Xi wagon - 4145 lbs - base price - $55,800
MB E350 4matic wagon - 4,245 lbs. - base price - $57,250
Audi A6 Avant - 4222 lbs - base price - $53,310
Volvo XC70 T6 AWD - 4092 lbs - base price - $32,575

Shame on you, Paul, shame on you!!!

Re: 2010 V70 R-Design (gascos80)

Your right, Gascos. The XC70 isn't 4000 lbs. It's almost 4100 lbs.

That's really heavy for a passenger car.

Thanks for clearing that up.

On the issue of price, great comparisons. I didn't know that anyone was dumb enough to suggest that the XC70 is in the same class as the MB E350 wagon. Or the Lexus RS. Or the BMW 535Xi wagon. Or the Audi A6 Avant.

Until now.

Thanks for coming out of the closet (again) Gascos.

You're quite the fool. You've said it yourself.

Re: 2010 V70 R-Design (JRL)

You must be joking.

We were having a Volvo-based discussion (last thread) up to the point where big brother stepped in.

And for what? Criticizing the product that many have apparently rejected? Since when is that a crime?

If principles were given a rest, but then they wouldn't be principles.

Guys like Lev must speak must speak their minds, even if that presses the bounds of propriety.

I do hope you can understand...

Paul,

I agree with Gascos on the comparisons. He is sighting all wheel drive wagons/crossovers that are offered in the USA. Maybe he should put Subaru in there too, purely because it is an AWD wagon/family car. But then again who would be foolish enough to compare a Volvo to a Subaru?

Looks nice, Jim,
But it would be high $30K, 3700+ Lbs, 15/22 vehicle with a lot of "why-tech" that RWP will not approve under any circumstances. The last "appropriate" Volvo was this

What do you think a P2 R weighs? (3700+ lbs)
All the other "high performance" wagons?
(over 4000 lbs)
THEY cost over 80K!
You're way off base here

Q: Who locked the thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=118029 ?

A: GrecianVolvo, who now works for Volvo Car Corp. But he's apparently still a mod on SS.

Is this what SS has come to? "Shutter Control" being exercised by Volvo employees over what is said or not about their models?

Debate amongst yourselves...

Again with the conspiracy theories.

Thanks for playing...

You're just jealous that Yannis' career is moving forward and yours isn't
You must find it particularly bothersome that Volvo actually listens to Yannis...
