Good day guys. I have a 2010 S40 Powershift 2.0 ,petrol engine. My problem is that when starting the car the temperature gauge rises to normal (12 o'clock position) almost immediately. It stays there fine after that. Is this normal? Secondly I now have an engine light coming on with code P2008 (Intake manifold runner control circuit/ open bank 1A)

Recent repairs were on the gearbox. It still goes into limp mode when driven long distance

Could be a temp sensor issue. If the gauge doesn't get a reading it may move to a default position.

I'm not initially too concerned if you're staying at 12. I see your South African flag and it's summer down there. After I changed my coolant to G-05 a year ago, I realized how quickly my car came up to temp, within 5-10 minutes in the summer with it taking over up to 20 minutes on 0F winter days.
