Re: 2007 (Freeworld)

My local dealer Hudson Valley Volvo has several '07's on the lot including S60R's, XC90's and V70's.
This was as of the middle of last week.

The bad news is that the sticker is up by something like $305 (XC) but the good news is that the '07s are coming out of the chute at $1500-$2000 under the invoice. Unless that's bad news, too.
("Bad" in the sense that can't bode well for P2 Volvo depreciation. It's just August!)

Besides, this and other similar sites don't sell cars direct, they are simply an internet marketing tool for local dealers. If the dealers don't have the cars yet, you still can't get one. The 07 XC70 is beginning to show up in dealerships, but carsdirect is a little confused

My area includes the claimed (at times) #1 volume Volvo dealer outside of Sweden so maybe that has something to do with it.
I found Carsdirect price quotes are fairly accurate, maybe $500 high (their "pound of flesh") vs. the Costco-negotiated price. Also their descriptions options array on the 2007 is dead on, ie. the backup sensors are a $344 stand-alone-option on the '07 instead of bundled with the $855 "convenience package" on the '06. Since the odds are about zero that they'd have the color/options that I'd want in stock and it would have to come off the holding area at Port Newark anyway, it doesn't matter if they have it in stock.
The seats are the same as the '06s, I am pretty sure.

In the mid-atlantic region the cars come into the port of Baltimore. Unless you are talking about a different model, the XC70 for 07 still has the backup sensors as part of the covinience package.
Unless you're really anxious to pay retail, just about any dealer is able to give you the same price regardless of how you come to them (UBS, Costco, Internet, etc...) The car business has already changed to accomodate all our percieved ways of getting a "better" deal
