Folks,

I have a question, my car is showing a ECM-439C fault code set for a large leak in the tank system. The ECM has the latest software per the dealer, they reportedly ran a test of the tank system which passed and advised to replace the leakage diagnostic pump..

thoughts? Where is this animal?

2007 XC70 with 120k on it.

If it shows a bad Leak Detection Pump then it needs a Leak Detection pump!
This is a common P2 fault.
How can it pass then suggest it needs a pump....fishy

Both are common failures, the pump and the hose mentioned below.

It may be a cracked J-Hose also back there.
Pump is on the left rear side, tucked way up there next to the fuel tank, slightly difficult to replace because of the location

So I think I see it, is it kinda over the rear end? Does any one have any advice on how to replace it? It looks like quite a job to get out of the car and to replace this hose? Maybe a picture of its location?

Thanks
