I switched from using my 12 S60 as a daily to using my 06 XC70 with 135k as a daily. It's perfectly fine. My car was NOT well cared for before, which is how I got it so cheap ($500), but I've done the work myself to get it back on the road. Mine does have a transmission clunk once warmed up sometimes, but for the drive to work and back it rarely acts up. I did a partial flush, but probably needs a solenoid. It's not a hard car to work on and it's good if you're on a budget to get comfortable doing some repairs yourself.

Now my 12 S60 T6... boy I love that car! But it will get me in too much trouble as a daily so I try to keep it for more fun trips now.

Yeah a Toyota is "better" for cost of ownership, but boring as snot. Depends what you want in a car. I was given a perfectly good Toyota and attempted to drive it, but it destroyed my soul.

Personally I like the 07 better. It’s a better color. It is. NOT an 8500 dollar car though. Sad but true. Low mileage and low optioned but clean. That’s maybe 4-5 max? Get some sharper wheels for summer and keep the euros for winter use. Go drive it. You’ll love it. The 11 looks nice too and has beechwood interior but I worry about the early P3. I know nothing about them - maybe they’re all sweet but I’ve never been interested much in them other than the v60.

I agree with you, but I will add that Toyotas are much less safe than Volvos. Especially if you go back 10+ years.

I will offer him this price once I checked the maintenance history and yeahh it looks very nice. How much do you think I can offer for the 11?

Oof. I never even looked at the car fax. It’s a total loss recovery. No thanks!
2011 to 2012 can’t be THAT different. Can it??
I just checked the reviews on that model and they're not great compared to the 2011 model

What reviews are you looking at? They're the same car as the '11. Unless you're looking at the R design compared to the old R... but then you're more talking about the lack of extra performance over the T6 model. All the more reason to not turn down a T6 and just put polestar on if you want (it's what my own car is). And the T6 and R design T6 are both pretty potent if you are looking for performance.
