Hey all- been lurking for awhile learning what I can in preparation for finding my first V70R.

This girl popped up near me in Chicago, looking to see if anyone knows anything about it, given the small community.

High mileage, but as I understand most are kept pretty well.

Any insight or advice for inspection would be appreciated. This could be my shot at finding my first.

Looks really clean. Strongly recommend getting it checked by a Volvo dealer or indie. PCV system, timing belt, AWD, and 4-C suspension are some of the bigger things on an R. If the Carfax shows a servicing dealer/indie, you might be able to contact them for service history.

Expensive. Too expensive.

CaR is due for major services at this mileage.

Timing belt full job. AOC fluid, angle gear, trans, rear diff. Likely pcv. Rear springs. Maybe shocks.

$4k in parts if youre lucky to have it in top notch shape.

To emphasize SB's reply, in the their service history segment for that R in their add shows the "park assist and chassis service" messages are ON... Park assist is at the least a sensor and recal, the chassis service is again what SB and Exocet are saying nicely - expensive.... These cars were great in their time and respectable today, but require more conscientious "attention". If it has an impeccable serivce history and your lucky it might not need much...... Sorry if this sounds like :deadhorse: but do some more research on V70R and just be aware. We have all been smitten by a Black V70R at sometime in our love affairs with Volvo

I really wanted a VR. But, settled for a V70 2.5T as my first Volvo. A much safer choice. After 2 years, my R envy has declined a bit.
