seriously considering buying the 2006 S80, instead of waiting until next year (although I like what I've seen with the 2007).

Dealer is offering what I consider a good discount.

Can you offer pro's/con's of 2006 S80?

Just got one.
Traded in my 98 S70. My opinion is it is the final year for this body style so all kinks worked out (knock on wood),great deal, car looks great, 5 cyl proven and reliable. Cons- all I can think of is it is the last year for this body style so resale will probably suck (which is why I leased). Other than that I say go for it I don't think you'll be sorry.

bit the bullet. Put the deposit down today, will pickup either Tue or Wed, whenever we can get around to dotting I's and crossing T's.

such a great deal - even if the resale will drop, buying a new S80 for a little over $31K was something I just couldn't pass up.

The "sale" was so successful, the dealership had only 1 left today, and they said that they would not get any more S80's in until the new ones come out in Dec or Jan. Don't know if that was B.S., or not.

probably very true....the last of the current S80's was made about 2 months ago.
