They are VERY strict when it comes to salvage inspections - the shop that did the work should be getting that done, not a 3rd party. All receipts are required and a LOT of documentation. Either they should be getting it done, or they should have been selling it as a parts car and they are fools...

They are still worth something - just significantly less then a car with a clean title. I am always weary of cars that have had major hits (enough to total them especially), but that could also depend on the insurance company that they have at the time.

Regardless, the folks who did the work should be getting the change in title done, NOT the end-user as I had mentioned.
