I replaced the HU850 in my 2005 S60R with a Kenwood radio using the adapter cable http://www.ebay.com/itm/Volvo-s60-s...895?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf9db6677 and the Xscorpion Antenna adapter 40-VL10.

Problem is I am not getting any AM stations. I get white noise like when you disconnect the antenna. Has anyone else encountered this? The antenna plug in the car has 2 coaxial cable coming into the gray plug. The antenna adapter converts them into a standard antenna plug. Wondering does the S60 have seperate AM and FM antennas? Is that why there are 2 coaxial cablee in the plug?

Thanks

There are two co-axials b/c the signal comes from two separate places in the car from what I understand, but I don't have any information about whether one os FM or AM specifically. I've never seen that one discussed. I know that I've never had an aftermarket stereo in any car that had decent AM reception.

When you figure it out, please don't forget to post the answer!
