Hey guys-

I recently purchased a 2005 Volvo S40 2.5T- I gotta say, I love this car. It's fantastic! 6sp manual, AWD, turbo. What's not to love?
I'm coming from a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T- reason I switched was because my Audi was having all kinds of weird issues and costing me thousands in repairs.

Well,
A couple months after buying my Volvo, I have 3 powertrain fault codes....

They are:

P0089-
P0234-
P0299-

I was hoping that maybe you guys have some experience with these and may be able to lend a hand in helping me get this fixed!!

Thanks!
Neal

That's an interesting group of codes. Attack them in order, first one may fix it all.

Fuel Pressure Sensor is common.
TCV (Turbo Control Valve) may be bad as well. This is also quite common as the cars age. Be VERY sure to get the vacuum lines back in their correct locations on the new valve.

That's what I've been hearing alot of. I've had the second and third code for a couple weeks- and ive been experiencing weird drives where my car loses all its boost Power and my throttle doesn't go past 27% even when flooring it in 2nd or 3rd.

The first code P0089, just appeared last night

You have exactly the rest of today to fix it before the weather goes cold. :)

Hahaha right?! Snows on the way soon, I can't wait to drive in it.

So you live in Minnesota as well?
