thought this would be a fun comparison since I had two photos of similar vantage points, 2004 2.5 AWD on top, 2008 3.2 AWD on bottom.

So similar yet so different too. Nothing like the ole yearly model change for the heck of it.

Funny you should bring this up. I really like the older front end styling (like my '04) much better. More aggressive appearance in my opinion. I do, however, like the later tail light and wide set V O L V O look a bit better. All in all I don't think one model year looks better, just different.

I too like the more aggressive looking front bumper of the older model. I fitted my 2003 with headlamps from the new model + an aftermarket "bumper bar" which I think gives it quite a good look.
