When aggressively accelerating my 04 S60 2.5T, seems to "hesitate" and continues to "miss out" throughout the acceleration period. It almost feels as if it is not getting fuel. I have been told that it may be a computer problem that does not allow consistent RPM increase. I've also been told that this problem came to surface in California and there was a law suit in which Volvo had to fix the problem, and that in some other states they were made to extend the warranty. When I took it to the dealer they "could not find anything wrong". Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks, Terry.

Re: 2004 S60 2.5T acceleration problem (tebbtg)

Could also be a clogged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump. The ETM issue only affected 1999-2001 vehcles and some early 2002s. Your vehicle is not included. I would take it to a dealer or independent Volvo Mechanic so they can diagnose the issue.
