I'm searching Autotrader.com for used Volvos; S80's, S60's, and S40's. I see a very nice S80, Pearl White, 2.9, with 46,000 miles; very beautiful-looking, at least in the photo. I'm thinking that a new S80 is probably in the 40K price range. This particular car is listed for $16, 150. Is this too good to be true, or do Volvos depreciate that quickly, (like Jaguars)? Did 2003 S80's have specific problems? At 48 months with my $1200 Golf to trade, I'd be looking at about $400 a month; quite nice for a Volvo......

Re: (Copeland)

Well, it's $4000 below KBB, but that could be because I'm in Wisconsin, 100 miles away from Minneapolis, where it is for sale, and more common. And/or, they would offer me $100 for my trade.......... Then again, hey, what's $25 a month?

Also remember that changes were not made to the S80 till 2004...hence you will have the same one as I, minus two turbos.

An absolutely GORGEOUS Silver 01 S80 T6 went thru the auction today.
I had high 40's (low) mileage.
This seller gets TOP dollar for his cars, it couldn't get past 11K
(No sale)
Over ONE year ago I bought a really nice 01 T6 with 51K miles, I paid too much and had to sell it retail. The selling price was high wholesale and everyone was happy, but these cars are CHEAP, CHEAP CHEAP.
I can buy 01T6's with higher miles (90-100K) for 6 grand!

That's terrible!...I am glad that I do not have any desire to sell my car. This car will last for awhile and I will focus on spending my money on real estate.

Wholesales for around 11,500 with 50K or so miles all day long.
A 100% may bring 12K
Retail, 14-15K Maybe if it's 100%. Get a dent doctor to fix your door dents before you try to sell it
