"Honda over the years has been uncannily successful at keeping its redesigned models under wraps, often until the day it starts shipping vehicles. Not this time. Pictured here is the redesigned 2003 Accord coupe, snapped nearly 2 1/2 months before the vehicle is supposed to go public."
http://www.zumografx.com/2003.jpg

Interesting...even though the rear reminds me of the Acura CL(of course), it also looks a bit like the new Benz SL.

ivtec,
Thanks for posting the picture. I saw it yesterday on The Temple of VTEC, but forgot to post. I guess that it could be very real, I am not sure. The sedan and powertrains is what I am most interested in, and I think that they should be really good. Nissan has upped the ante big-time!
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about the coupe. This is supposed to be the replacement for the Prelude as well, a car which I love. This new design in coupe form just isn't agressive enough for my tastes. It looks a lot like the new CLK & SL from the rear with some C70 influence, and the front looks a lot like the new Altima & Chrysler Sebring.
-Drew

Can't these Japanese companies come up with anything original? First Toyota (well, Lexus) copies the CLK and 3-series, then Nissan (Infiniti) tries to copy the 3-Series, now Honda is making what appears to be a copy of the S-class.
Japanese companies should stick to the 4-cylinder econoboxes that made them known in America. You know, the ones that get you from Point A to Point B slowly with excellent mileage (Civic, Carolla, etc). Or they should at least design something original. I for one am sick of seeing stuff like this come from that tiny island country. Leave the family sedans to the Americans (too late for that) and the sports sedans to the Europeans.

How about Mitsubishi? They don't sell them here, but I was in Georgia a couple of years back and saw one model that looked sickenly close to a BMW 3 series... In fact that's exactly what I thought it was from a distance.
Jay
--
83 242 Turbo
98 S70 T5 SE
Consider DaimlerChrysler owns both MB and Chrysler it makes sense
8) Gas hatch door is on the same side as Sebring sedan but not coupe.
9) Rear dual exhaust is the same chrome, shape, size, and location as Sebring
10) Wheels are exactly the same except painted white
11) Rear glass is the same shape, angle as sebring
