Looks about the same as the current model to me. Then again, I'm not a big fan of Japanese cars so there's probably some minor changes that I wouldn't notice.

6-speed is indeed nice, and it's probably a smooth-shifting one too. Is it going to be available in the (4-door) TL Type S too?

Another thing, when are these companies going to learn that you can't sent that much power to the front wheels and have it perform all that well?

Honda is obviously trying to go head-to-head with Nissan (Maxima in particular) with the addition of the 6-speed. But is it worth the extra $5k to get the Acura name instead of Nissan?

The difference comes when you're trying to launch the car off the line and the laws of physics are against you.

I actually considered the CL-S before I bought my S60. The CL was cheaper, after all. Trouble is, the decision was made the second I sat (or tried to sit) in it--not enough headroom with the sunroof. There was literally an inch more room that I needed to even sit in the car. Of course, it was 'standard' equipment so I had to rule out the car right then and there.
Not that I'm unhappy with the Volvo, especially with the overseas delivery and all. But I'll just have to really take care of it now that I can't order it without the sunroof anymore. No S60r for me, I'm afraid.
I've always hated that I've never been able to get the really 'good' cars because I could never fit into them. Oh well. C'est la guerre.

The Cl is a wierd shape and the interior layout is not the way I like it. I feel much more confortable in my g20 where everything is upright and in reach. The CLs dash is to far away if you have the seat back since it goes off at that angle.

But if you're just putting around, obeying the speed limit, and have no intention of ever doing otherwise you'll never notice the difference. Only thing is that I've found RWD cars to have smaller turning radiuses (radii?), which is cool in parking lots.

I think it is because the CV joints on a front or all wheel drive car can only bend so much. That is why I have to used the e-brake for a quick turn.

On two lane roads. My car needs four lanes wide to make a u turn because it is front wheel drive and the CV joint doesn't bent that far. So either make a 3,5,7,9...(however many it takes) point turn or pull the e-brake and have the rear end slide around.

quote:
Originally posted by anony00gt:
How fast are you going when you pull into a space?

1 mph, maybe 1/2 mph, I don't speed in parking lots. Too many people, cars, and private property that is to expensive to replace to risk it.
