And here are the initial quality JD Powers results. Volvo moved from 22nd place to 5th, beating all other European companies, only 2 points behind Toyota.

I thought that was strange that Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura were a few spots apart went Infiniti and Nissan were so far apart. It would make sence that the higher price cars would be better built. But 26 places apart really bothered me. Here is my best guess/theory. I think that Infiniti is still made in Japan, where as Nissan are made in US and Mexico. So I think that US models of Nissan would have the quality of other domestic cars, which unfortunatly are crap.quote:

Not to argue with you, but aren't most of the Honda and Toyota cars made in the US too. Heck, the TL's of Acura are made in O-hi-O!quote:

I don't know Toyotas but for Honda not all of them, but certian models are, made in the US. I know that the CL was designed and built in the US.quote:
