I believe I need to replace the VVT solenoid on my '01 S60, I had a code in VIDA for it but I'm still working to diagnose it. I went ahead and grabbed a solenoid from the junkyard just in case, but I pulled it from a 2002 V70XC. From what I understand, there is a split at chassis number 92352, which I believe was when the switched the connector design.
Does anyone know if the newer solenoid is compatible with my '01 with the older style? I clipped the pig tail as well, so I'll just solder in the harness as needed.

All same as long as it’s the same cam. Only the connector changed.

Cool, that's what I figured. I was pretty sure the intake/exhaust aren't interchangeable, otherwise I would have used the spare intake one I have on the shelf!

I guess the compatibility/PN difference was due to the one part being the kit with the butt connectors and the other being direct plug-and-play. I'll tear into diagnostics tomorrow... still need to order a radiator and the usual stage zero parts.
