Anyone go to the Volvo test drive in DC this past weekend? It was a real blast. I for one knocked some cones over in some of the turns (going above their speedlimit :) It was great fun to see someone burn rubber so well in a T5 -- that wasn't mine.

Back on topic, does anyone know of changes that were made to the T5 steering from 2001 to 2002 model years? I found a significant difference between their cars and mine, and I'm not thrilled.

Thanks.

Ahh...so, you were the one who knocked the cones over. I had a good time, too....but I didn't know which was you this Saturday.

Did you hang out with Scott(with Swedespeed hat) or few others?

Already some time ago I had my S60 realligned after a front strut change.
I use my own settings but the guy at the service centre told me that Volvo had new geometry settings.
The car was set to this specs but it drove terrible.
Heavy steering and no straight line stability.
If I remember correctly the settings looked like the one of a RWD car

Back to my own now, a heritage from my R*I*C*E*? period......

The_one_n_only,
I didn't see anyone with a Sweedspeed hat. I was there for the 3pm session. Actually, I was driving an S80 when I hit the cones (not nearly as agile as a 60).

Johann,
Do you know the right front end settings to tighten up the steering? Mine is loose as a goose. They claim it is aligned properly, but I'm sure there is some range in the acceptable settings. VCNA has just responded to my letter on this and other issues, so I'd love to be able to tell the technician how to align my car :)

Thanks.

Hmm...you might have just missed us. Which one was your first group? The S80s and the T5s for the 2.4T&AWD group. Because we splitted into 2 different groups that day.

I did this last year! It was a whole lot of fun. Except on one I had an old lady in front of me who treated that car so freaking delicately, I was on her ass all around the track. I was so pissed.

The_one_n_only,
We were split into three groups (I guess it was a popular time slot). Our first event was the 2.4T and the AWD, then S60 T5 and S80, then Hot laps! of which I did a few, but didn't get to ride in the race car.
