Good afternoon all.

My rear differential is leaking. Noticed a few spots on my garage floor. This looks to be a real pita to remove and reseal. I any information is greatly appreciated.

There are three seals (two axle seals) and one seal that sits at the front of the diff behind the flange. If it's the latter seal then I think you can do it with the diff still on the car once you've removed the torque tube. That said, this is a seal that needs to be replaced carefully as I believe there is a crush collar just like there is behind the output flange of the angle gear meaning everything needs to be put back together and torqued exactly right. I'll see if I can dig up the Volvo directions later/tomorrow.
