I think you'll have issues, but mostly offset related. Will also depend if you're lowered (and if you're not, i'd do that before wheels)

My I-forged dealer who told me I-forged has all the math and numbers so I don't have to worry about anything.
As for brake clearance, there is plenty of space for aftermarket brakes.

Re: (TFS)

oh yes, forgot to mentioned. My car is lowered, that is probably why my tires still rub sometimes.
If you don't lower your car, you might not experience rubbing with rolled fenders. but the rider will be very uncomfortable. on the other hand, 20" looks HOTTTTT!!!!!!

20x8.5 rim +35mm offset=1''outside the car in the front....
rear wheels 20x8.5 rim +35mm offset can work.
but if you want to make miles and a safe car take 18'' or 19''..
20'' or bigger work good on a ''Navigator'' not in a s40.
with 20'' rims if you kill a bug under you wheel you can feel it in the steering wheel
"with 20'' rims if you kill a bug under you wheel you can feel it in the steering wheel"
If I had a Navigator I'd have to at the minimum go with 22"
Inch makes that kinda difference, huh?

Re: (JJ_S40)

Well Like I said (and like what was said above) I think your biggest difficulty is going to be offset not diameter.
Honestly, I think 20's are a little big as they seem too big for the car (looks wise), i'm not talking about ride comfort or anything because honestly that is completey subjective and everyone is different so i'm not sure why people even bring it up. If you can handle the stiffer ride then go for it. There's guys up here that run 19's on their mk4 golfs/Jettas with 35 series rubber and lowered and I haven't heard of a single bent rim (although they are more careful than the average driver). It's all in what you can handle.
Someone had 20's on here I thought??
If you're set on 20's then go for it but I'd consider having a look at 19's too before you make your decision (have a look at Bioteks car, as he's got a nice example of lowered on 19's)
