An 03 or newer 2.5t with busted engine or tranny.

Anyone know of any ?

Cheaper the Better .

AWD or FWD doesnt matter

Condition not to concered about but worse condition cheaper it better be.

If its a FWD one going to put a M56 in one
If its a AWD one going to put a M66 in one.

Consider neither of these options are offered in the US , going for a one off car. If it works right willl be able to offer it to any XC90 driver

So see what you guys can find me

Perferable with no body damage

A 2.5T XC90 with a blown engine or tranny problem? This I have not heard before. Maybe you are thinking of the T6?

same engine and tranny in the XC90 as a 99-newer V70 so there has to be one or two floating around

2.5 is pretty boring when it comes to repairs...

considering its the same engine and tranny that volvo has been using for ever I cant imagine why lol

Stopped by the dealer they lol but he said I can get you a T6 with a busted trany every day all day

The exact reason why I chose one.

Oddly enough the T6 is even *older* than the 2.5T and both the T6 and 2.5T share the same exact ancestor: the venerable B6304 modular straight-six that powered Volvo's 960/S90/V90 sedans and wagons.

That said, it would be real interesting to see how long a 2.5T engine mated up with a 4T65-E would last in a 2.5 ton XC90 and just how well a T6 engine mated up with a AW50 would cope in a custom wide-body 2.5 ton XC90 that's been hacked apart wide enough to fit both engine and transaxle.
