We pull a 4,000 pound plus Cobalt on tandem trailer over our mountain pass with 2005 2.5T. Runs fine at 60 mph, no overheat, etc. Absolutely great & stable pulling and braking.
I would encourage you to research the T6 discussions on this forum for problems with the early years of that model (many issues other than transmission problems). As you may know, that model was discontinued and replaced with the V8, but a litany of problems apparently even led some owners to receive buy-backs and/or exchanges for a new XC90 (non-T6) from Volvo.
