Well after a long call with my friends at Fujita(www.f5air.com), they are ready to make some aftermarket IC pipe(more diammeter than stock) and intake shield with filter for the new S40 and 01 to 06 S60 turbo cars(including R), they will make the parts and test them on the car of the volunteers. They have special technicians and also own a dyno on the factory so we will test all the parts to proof if there some hp gain on the systems.
The factory is in:
Temecula, CA 92590

projects to do:
INTAKES
IC PIPE
INTERCOOLER HOSES

Let me know who is on the line. 23th of may.

Re: 2.5" IP for the R, who is interested? Tuesday at FUJITA FACTORY. (volvos60t5x)

I'd like to see products also made for the P1 chassis. I'm sure there would be other guys (specifically over on Volvospeed) who would be interested in them.

So you are saying this is a 2 day deal? I don't live THAT close, like 90 miles or so from Temecula. What exactly is going to be done with the IC's? Just bigger piping? FMIC?

Re: (JOSBRO)

im SPEC dealer in MExico too, i got from http://www.specclutch.com, really great clutch btw.

Well the project is to get the cars on the morning, we will see the IP in person, take some pics, info, details to produce the part in 1 day, after that next day we will test if the ic fit perfect and also the intake, then test on the dyno to see numbers.

On tuesday maybe will not have the car all day, just part of the morning. Wed maybe will be more time. We need to see how much work is necessary to be sure.

Re: (cschmelz)

it depends, my mistake was buying a stage II clutch which support 320 lb.ft at the crank, my car has more than that at the wheels 328 wtq.!! (like 370 at the crank) so i need stage 3.
Also you need to be careful about the clutch replacement, talking about resurface the flywheel, labor, i think is better to get a new flywheel after some 100k miles.
They are very great company, and the costumer support is the best. They has new light flywheel but we need more than 10 people to get a GD

Re: (volvos60t5x)

i checked their website. looks like a regular intake kit with a tube. you can already buy this stuff online.

they sell an intake with a "tornado" thing in it...isn't that the gimmick stuff I"ve seen on ebay...

this is a pic off their site...

why spend money changing out the stock intercooler piping?? if you're gonna do it - just go FMIC. you'd need all custom piping to do that anyway.

i'd rather spend the money on an FMIC kit with all new piping.

if you change out the stock intercooler ipes - how many pipes is it? just the one over the motor? or others?

Re: (23109VC)

you have one intercooler pipe coming from the turbo to the intercooler, and the other, coming from the intercooler to the ETM. And also if someone offer for free..why not take the chance. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
