I just ordered a can of VHT-Nightshades for my new project. I plan on using 3 or 4 coats to black them out. I will probably get a clear coat but what should I use to clean to lenses? Some people use sandpaper in the process... Also is it easier to just tape around the lights than to remove them?
I like those wheels. How much did you pay to get them painted? It might be worth painting mine and sitting on that until I can save up for something real...
i had s60R rims on my car, i had my kid, and i said egh, let me sell them. so i sold them for $700, and my stock rims have been sitting in my basement and got all this rusty stuff on it with the clear coat peeling.
so i sanded them down to complete bare metal, 3-4 coats of primer, 4-5 coats of black, and 8 coats of clearcoat.
the rims look better than they did stock.
im in the market of s60R rims now. so if anyone comes across them, let me know.........
it costed me $40 bucks to do the calipers, rims, tail lights, engine.................................... im not complaing. a whole new look!!!!
rust - o - leum is the paint to use
forget krylon, duplicolor, or any other crap.... rustoleum doesnt drip, or anything, and the primer/filler from rustoleum works great!!!!!!!! its real easy to sand imperfections with. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
