Hi guys, hope i get an answer to this one...

What is the best engine oil to use in the 2.0D /D4204T/ engine, i know the recommended oil is the 5W30 ACEA A1/B1 Ford WSS-M2C913-B, but those are all semisynthetic oils, i'm searching for a fullysynthetic oil that can be used in this common rail engine.

Any suggestions? pleeeeeease!

Re: 2.0D engine oil (dali)

Thanks, but it's not that cold here where i live so a 0W30 for me would be an overkill, i would prefer 5W30 but can't seem to find a fullysynthetic one.

Castrol has a A1/A5 B1/B5 5W30 oil named SLX professional C1 but it's not sold here, or is but hard to find, so i was interested in finding out what others are using...

But thanks again for answering, Tack så mycket!

Re: 2.0D engine oil (Guru)

What's the Compression of Your Diesel Eng. ?

Diesel Trucks are 18:1 or 20:1 - Isn't the Diesel Volvo like 15:1 ------ ?

Check what they put into a Modern Diesel Caterpillar.

Re: 2.0D engine oil (EngTech)

Hi,

Compression ratio is 18.5:1

The catch is that it's a common rail Ford/PSA engine "code DW10" that requires a low HTHS "High Temperature High Shear" value of 2.9-3.5, that's why ACEA A3/B3/B4 oils can't be used becuase they all have HTHS >3.5

Re: 2.0D engine oil (dali)

Dali, that oil doesn't sell here

So at the end i decided on ARAL High Tronic F 5W-30 A1/B1 API SL/CF

I hope i made the write decision.

Anyway, thank you for your help.
