Hello All,

I am looking for some advice.

Recently I bought a 1999 V70 SE 170bhp with 169,000 on the clock; overall the car has been very well looked after throughout its life and shows very little in the way of signs of its age, nor of the mileage it has covered in 13 years; all major servicing items that should have been covered, have been dealt with.

When driven, the only thing of concern is very slight "bumping" sounds that come from the suspension, especially, the front and I am assuming that this is worn bushes??

Would anyone be kind enough to give me some advice; is the "bumping" worn bushes and if so, which are the most likely culprits, it goes without saying that the car stands exactly as it should, no sagging or listing to one side or the other, just perfect.

I look forward to your responses.

Many thanks,

James.

I've found "bumping" to be caused by a number of factors, most common in my experience has been upper strut mounts, worn out uplinks and or control arms bushing or ball joint.
