REDUCED TO $6,800 --- 1998 V70XC - Highly Modded, 19t, Improved 2003 engine, manual swap, quaife diff, much more

New owner pick the car up today. SOLD SOLD SOLD

I am selling my 1998 volvo v70xc that has been modified quite a bit.

Mods-
☼ The car is no longer AWD - it has the AWD running gear/suspension in the rear, but the manual trans is from a FWD car.
☼ 2003 2.4 LPT engine with 50k miles ( Lighter rotating assembly, stronger rods, windage holes, better flowing head)
☼ 19t turbo purchased from Darrell Waltrip Volvo
☼ 3" OBX downpipe
☼ full 2.5" exhaust
☼ ARD tune for 19t and mods
☼ AEM matching guages, EGT, Boost, Fuel/air Wideband
☼ Manual trans
☼ Quaife locking diff
☼ powder coated matte black N/A intake with larger N/A throttle body
☼ 17"x8 40mm offset team dynamics in gunmetal - weigh 17lbs
☼ Wilwood 4 piston calipers and 13" rotors on front - stock rears
☼ New nivomats in rear
☼ HID headlights
☼ Eurosport tuning headlights
☼ Black Silicone intercooler hoses

The interior is in awesome shape, the seats are almost perfect. Ill let further pictures do the talking on these points though.

☼ This car also has front and rear heated seats. I believe this to be rare, I haven't seen many with the rear heated.

There is probably a few things I missed and I will add as they come to me.

This car is in great condition, the paint is in really nice shape. It does has a few rock chips and such on the front end. The interior door panels are beginning to laminate as well. Common issue.

I was driving this car to and from work 90 miles each way for a month or so after the majority of the mods took place. It has never caused me an issue and has ran great, and took many a persons pride when they were outran by a volvo wagon.

The car just isn't making sense economically for me right now. IT got 25-27mpg, but with the mileage I am traveling, I can do better and bought a vw diesel.

Contact me at 409-782-3451 on my cell for quickest response, otherwise [email protected] is a good option.

located in Silsbee TX 77656 - about an hour and a half NE of Houston TX

The car has 220,000 miles, but at this point that doesn't really matter as all of the parts that could would be affected by high mileage have been replaced.

The 2003 engine has 50,000 miles

The manual transmission used was out of a 90,000 mile car

The car needs nothing, and is sound shape and has been very dependable, and fast!

$8000.00 OBO

seeing all these mostly stock cars or lightly modified listed for 4-6k helps show how good of a price this is.

No build thread.

I am however a mechanical engineer and make my living absorbing information from all available sources and making the best judgements possible while factoring in customer needs, costs, and timeframes.

I took the same analytical approach to the building of this car. I selected the newer model engine for the stronger rods, lighter rotating assembly, better flowing heads, solid lifters, windage holes, and the 2.4 liter for the higher compression ratio.

The 19t was chosen as I did not want to loose the fun factor by moving the boost onset too high into the rpm range. Although you can build an even faster volvo with a much bigger turbo, the slower spooling that comes with that went against the concept I was visualizing, which is a fast car to drive that has alot of low end torque. (to me the low end torque makes a fun peppy feeling car whether it be in town or on the hwy, even if your loose a bit of the top by catering your design and parts toward the lower end)

The quaife explains itself

Lightweight wheels in 17" diameter - less rotational weight (May not make significant differences but the wheels are still a nice style and they only weigh 17lbs, win win)

Boost, A/F, and EGT guages are needed to keep on eye on exactly what the engine is doing, and can be a help catch issues before they become big problem.

All the other stuff is just supporting the engine really, exhaust, brakes (safety), intake mods, etc.

A few items like the Euro headlights and xenon bulbs for a little more style.

If you have any other questions I will do my best to answer. Thanks for the bump.
