I had this same problem on my 95 850. It is the noise supressor compound that your supposed to put on the pads to minimize vibration, AKA that squealing noise. You may need to take the front pads off, clean the backsides of them all, then put more of this goop on and reinstall the pads. It worked for me at the time. Lot of work though for a little squeak. I would leave it for now until you need new pads.
Tony P
98 V70 T5M

Endorphin-
Same thing happen on my '99 S70 and it turned out to be a spring that wore out on the back calipers. When I checked the brakes the notice that the rears were dragging (found it out by spinning the rear tires when they were in the air) making a squeaking noise. My dealer said it was a common problem with the 70 series cars. They replaced it under warranty. Hope this helps...
