Fs - Nice '98 S70 T5 Auto In Nj - 115k - Only $6450!

I hate to do it ... but here goes ...

'98 Volvo S70 T5

automatic, leather, power seats/mirrors/windows/locks, heated seats, am/fm/tape/cd, moonroof, ABS, traction control. 115K miles. Asking $6450. Call 732-961-3215 or 732-213-6903. Located in Jackson, NJ.

Full professional detail performed 3/14/06. Alignment performed 3/19/06.

All maintenance up to date. Common problems already fixed: ABS module rebuilt last year (thanks Viktor); installed upgraded lifetime swaybar endlinks (thanks Slater); recently replaced entire PCV system and air pump valve.

All-weather tires (Yokohama) have less than 5k miles on them. New Enkei 16" wheels installed along with those tires, as well as new shocks, struts, and spring mounts. Brake pads still have more than half their life on them. Crossdrilled Brembo rotors up front and Crossdrilled Zimmermans in back. Full tune-up (wires, cap, rotor, spark plugs, and air filter) done last summer. New Bosch battery installed 3 weeks ago. Optix driving lights installed a few months ago.

faults: small scrape to left-front bumper and right-side plastic skirt has a chip in it just in front of the rear tire (see pics). Both are very minor. Typical loose leather on the door panels. Otherwise, car looks great. Most folks think its much newer than '98.

Yeah, this is REALLY tough to give up. Its just that I have 4 cars, and one has to go. The 2 we are making payments on can't since they are fairly new and our primary transportation. The 3rd is my now-classic Alfa and has too much sentimental value ... so I'm forced to sell my volvo.

Aside from the aforementioned Alfa, I have owned the Volvo for longer than I've ever owned any other car. And, even including the Alfa, I have never driven a vehicle for ANYWHERE near the number of miles I've driven this car.... And I STILL enjoy driving it!

the switch is for the Optix driving lights.

Actually, one thing I left out is the front stainless brake lines from IPD. I put those on a few years ago. So only mods are rotors, front brake lines, Slater's HD swaybar endlinks, and driving lights (and aftermarket wheels). Otherwise, its a nice stock clean slate for you to work off of.

I'm shocked this hasn't sold yet. hell, i haven't even had any real bites on it. Only one test drive and it was by someone who didn't have enough money to buy it. Loser.

well, let's see ... i'm not usually one to quote books ... but

edmunds private party TMV = $6200
KBB private party = $6400
NADA average retail = $8000

Honestly, the great condition of everything else and all of the recent maintenance and repairs should realistically outweigh the $300 damage (and then some). But, putting all of that aside, seems to me my asking price is still quite reasonable, and my taking price would be a downright steal.

I also know many people don't bid when there is a reserve.

I'm not an ebay newb by any means. I've sold LOTS of stuff on there.

Besides, when it comes to cars, Ebay isn't about selling, its about advertising. Nationwide 10-day full-color ad, on a site visited by millions, for less than $50. You can't beat that.
