This was my wagon for 9 years and my mother in law prior to that. Every invoice since new, this was probably the car I enjoyed the most (yes, even over my current 2004 R).

I haven't asked the new owner why he's selling it after having the car for just 4 months but I hope it goes to someone who can appreciate it. It handles great, looks better than most 2-3 year old cars out there and was as reliable as any car. It never once failed me.

Any questions, just ask, or contact Todd, the current owner. I REALLY hope it stays in the SS, VS family. It's just too nice to go to someone who doesn't appreciate modded wagons.

damn that is a sweet looking 850, body looks really clean! Did you have a for sale thread from when you sold it with more info?

I had a thread but it's MIA and I can't find it under my profile. :confused:

I know the owner took a lot of parts off the car, the FMIC, some hoses, the rear spoiler/wing, etc....

But the body has maybe seen snow 4-5 times and I'm fortunate enough to have a garage in which I can wash cars (hose + slope) so it was hand-washed after every trip in the snow. :)

I had the link to your old thread saved because i love this car and wanted to keep it for future mod ideas once i buy an 850 but it gives me an access denied message when i try to view it. Was it deleted for some reason?

Car comes up for sale after only 4 months, original thread now somehow deleted and parts are known to be missing....it's a shame cause I'd probably be interested but all of that combined just doesn't make me feel great. Why would you even remove those things to sell? Just odd.

BTW, not putting that on you Matteo....or anyone. I'm probably gonna contact owner for answers. Sweet car though.

Selling my wagon after 8 years of loyal services.

1997 850 wagon
142K miles
White on dark grey (189-21 and 3980)
Manual swapped at 88K miles
Body is an 8/10 (some dings, no rust, never wrecked)
Interior is a 9/10 (some wear on front leather)
Never smoked in, ever.

Asking $7,500 as-is or $6,500 without the wheel and brake combo. (I would include stock brakes and used Comets, used tires) SOLD

Shoot me a PM with questions. I've owned the car for the last 9 years my mother in law bought it new. I know absolutely every detail of its history and I have a 3 inch thick file to give its new owner with all bills.

Other desirable information:

Modifications: ARD Green tune. White injectors, 16T, 3 inch turbo back exhaust (EST stainless downpipe and race cat), dual magnaflows. IPD cold air intake
D2 coil overs, TKI endlinks, IPD sway bars, front mount intercooler
Maintenance history: Dealer maintained until 90K miles. From 90K miles until now, I have used independent Volvo specialists. Receipts showing everything are available. Most recent maintenance: radiator in January, 140K mile service completed this week (water pump, timing belt, accessories belt). I only use synthetic oil (Royal Purple, it's changed every 3K miles). Tires have 200 miles (Continental DW's). Compression is rock solid and perfectly even across all 5 cylinders.

I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It needs absolutely nothing. The only things that could addressed are the small power steering leak at the rack (local volvo shop is pointing towards the o-rings where the lines meet the rack) and do the oil pick up O-rings as preventive maintenance.

I have too many mods, too much invested to detail everything in one post. I can send a detailed list of modifications to anyone interested in the car. Dyno'ed at 248 whp on a RICA tune (included in sale), at 14 psi. Current tune is set to 17 psi. :D

Dat ass!

What rear bumper is that, XC70? If so, how hard was it to get it to fit on there?
