Hello, I thought that after I replaced the left rear caliper(one piston seized) and the d-laminated parking brake pads it would cure the disc from getting hot. After I get off the highway, I touch the right rear disc area...especially around where the parking brake pads are in the drum. It is cool. The left is too hot to touch. The brakes are not dragging and the caliper is cool. There are no signs of wheel bearing failure. The disc spins freely, it passes the wheel bearing test. No noise coming from the bearings at anytime. The car has 140,000 miles. My question, is it possible to have bearing failure without the typical symptoms other than it getting very hot?
