Im interested in buying a set of Racing Hart M5 Rims that are 5X114.3 pattern and 19X8.5 with a 17 off set. I dont know much about rims but I do know that I like these. Anyone know if they will fit on my 98 C70. thanks guys!
Brian
[email protected]
Yep, what they said. You're gonna have to run a higher offset. I run +45 on a 19 x 8" wheel and don't have too many problems. The problem with a larger wheel/tire is that it will raise the car. With lowering springs it will sit lower than stock but will look raised due to the wheel well. I ran into this and am running coilovers now combined with a slightly smaller tire(235/35/19).
regards,
Matt
p.s. I'll have a set of 19" Moda R6's up for sale soon if you're interested.
Matt if you have any pictures of the rims on your car send them to [email protected] and ill let you know. thanks for helping out guys i appreciate it cause i just got my car and I honestly dont know too much.
My old C70 was on 19's dropped as far as could go on KW coilovers so that it would still drive, if anyone wants pics lets me know your E-mail and will send them as have no idea how to post pics on the forum!
No problem man, I'll email you some pics later on. Ed, I will post some pics of the front once the engine is back in. It's about 6 inches higher than normal in the front right now since there is no weight there. Before I pulled the engine I measured the distance from the rocker to the ground with the 19's and it was still lower than a stock C70 by over an inch so I really wouldn't consider it a "4x4".
edit: Here is a pic I have now of the front end. With the R bumper and cf lip the front end was level with the sides. With the stock C70 bumper the front end was higher. As you can see its not slammed but it IS lower than stock. With the kw's and 225/35/19s instead of the 245's it should sit nice and tucked.

Matt
Im not sure but I think aftershock is the guy in the UK with the slammed saffron on 19" moda's. If not you can check out his cardomain page, the car looks sick, just worried about driveability at that height.
Matt
You also had the Supersprint I think... I have your pictures already on my harddrive very nice car!
Hey there,
Thanks for the pics, the car looks great. I love the supersprint exhaust on the C. So are the pics with the kw's all the way down or just to the point where there was no rubbing? Just trying to get an idea.
thanks,
Matt
All the way down on the back as there still well clear, would have liked another 20mm or so but it starts to knock the wheels out of line and into the arches so thats the limit there.
The fronts had another 40-50mm to go but they are lowered to the point that only get rubbing on full lock, any lower and could hear the wheels hitting the arches under heavy bumps. But as its on 19's can lower them quite a way.
Sweet, but are those KWs?
Any more pics of that car. I recall seeing a bunch somewhere, but I forget the link.
