Are the 17" Pegasus wheels a direct fit on a FWD S40, or is a spacer needed? They appear to have a 38mm offset vs. the 52.5 of the original 16" Cygnus wheels.

Wife is ready to upgrade to 17" summer wheels. Any help is appreciated

Offset is no problem.
Go to 18" pegs. they look way better.
Hub ring size is different so you may experience some vibrations on acceleration. You may be able to get hub ring spacers to fix this. search ebay.
Do a search here in the S40 forum, this topic gets brought up about every 2-3 weeks. Lots of good info here.
