I finally have the 13T off the XC.
I now see that one of the coolant holes has a plug.

Anyone familiar with how to move the coolant line plugs?

Well, it's 4am and I have just about everything back together. The S60R manifold is on and the 13T is back on. I won't have much time in Sunday to mess with it, and I need to drive on Monday. Hopefully I have everything tight enough not to leak ( exhaust, coolant and oil ).

It was a bear getting to one driver's bottom turbo bolt off and fortunately most of the bolt was not excessively tight. It was just slow 1/8" turns with a box wrench.

If anyone has a good solution for the 16T coolant hose opening, please post.

Will thanks - yes, that is the issue. I'll have to read up and get familiar with the options.

Standard bolt as in? Like oil pan drain bolt?

I need to find a flat head so it does not interfere with the coolant line.

Perhaps something like this, just need to find the M12x1.5x12 set screw

if it fits use it lol... also, use a dap of high heat silicone or something near the top of the screw/bolt for extra insurance from leakage

^ there's nothing to match - if you bought a 16T that has both ports on the same side, upper is outlet (to coolant pipe up top), lower is inlet (from water pipe)

Unless you drill & tap the opposite side, you will have to buy/make a new return water pipe. Easier to pop out the upper blanking plug on the inner side & tap to M12x1.5 for your existing water return pipe. A standard drain plug works in that upper port.

You can see the feed line sits a little lower this way, but there is plenty of room & the elbow flex hose has more than enough give to be repositioned without tension on it.

I think all I have to do is plug the one hole and I'm good to go. The other ports appeared correct.

Yea you have two open ones in the photo - have Volvos angled 16T part numbers all superseded to the newer versions?

The top bango oil line that goes to the passenger side of the block

The lower oil tube with the small 5mm screws.

The two open coolant lines, one will get the bango line. Need to close off the lower hole.

There are two other "openings" that are capped and not open on the other side.

I'll post picts of all the holes to make sure I have it correct. :)

Thanks Hussein, my orientation was a little off.

I looked at my 13T on the car and it looks just like yours.

I am wondering if an alternative P/N for be a direct bolt-on? 8602395-9 is this one.

I believe 1999 & 2000 S/V70 T5s were 16Ts so try a VIN from one of those.
