2 quick questions-
My motor mounts are bulged and I'm planning on replacing them. On my last 122 I managed, under hard acceleration, to rip the engine from the mounts and drive it through the radiator (thus turning a $40 problem, just mounts, into a several hundred dollar problem). I'd like to avoid that whole mess and replace these soon. My question is, has anyone tried something more heavy duty than and OEM replacement? I thought I remembered reading somewhere about using 164 or 140 series mounts because they are/were tougher. Or, conversely, does anyeone sell special HD mounts?
Second question- My interior is in decent shape, except for my seats. I'm on the fence between having them reupholstered (green interior/seats), or getting some aftermarket seats put in. Has anyone had their seats completely yredone recently (stripped to the frame and all new material put back on), and if so, how much did the operation run?
thanks in advance...
vh.

Re: 122- reupholstering & motor mounts (mr_happ)

164 mounts work just dandy -- use one for the tranny mount as well.
I had the front and rear seats restuffed and reupholstered for $500, including the rear armrest. They used the remnants of the original upholstery as patterns. I chose to lose the old waffle patterned material as being hard to clean, but it could have been done with that just as easily.
