Just curious....what is the "typical damage" to our cars after a run like this? New pads...new tires? Although it looks more and more like I'll be out of town, if I were to go, I'd like to know what kind of $$ I'm in for later on. I have touring radials on my car now and pads (OEM) are good but I also have slotted/drilled brakes which will be good for a run like this (heat wise) but I'm concerned I'll wear them down beyond daily driver level.

Not much, its just a matter of how you drive. OEM Pads are fine as the bite levels are more than enough. Tires would be fine, like I said its how you drive. If you take crappy lines and are pushing around every turn then you are going to see some tire wear, but if you drive the correct lines then tire wear is very little above normal.
