Sorry for another post about wheel/tire size, but I'm not familiar with size comparisons. I'd like to use some S80 alloys on my V50. My V50 tires read 205/50 R17. The S80 tires are 225/50 R17. What do I need to look for when determining if these wheels/tires will work? Obviously the S80 tire is larger. Perhaps the wheel is wider too? Or, If I put 205/50 R17 tires on the S80 wheels, will that work? New to the forum (new to Volvo too). Thanks!

Your biggest problem is that if you don't use 225/45 (instead of 225/50 you intend to use) your side wall height will increase and the circumference of your tires will change by over 3%. That's not great for you speedo or mileage count.

You'll have to check center bore diameter as well. I don't think they are all the same across Volvo models, even with newer models. If it's too close but not the same it will be harder to deal with. If it is more significant then you'll be able to use hub rings to fill the gap.

Other than that, and assuming Volvo wheels have typically similar offset across models (within newer models) you should be fine.

I've always liked the thought of my speedo being 3% slower as is also means I'm clocking 3% fewer miles on the odometer. Always good for resale! :D

From my experience should wOrk ok. Just put the v50 tires or maximum use 225/45r17. Maybe throw a 5mm spacer to mAke the wheel stick out more

Reading under? According to GPS and measuring between mile markers, mine is spot on. I am running the original size (205/55-16). My Sienna is 3mph low @ 55.
