is the cupholder area interchangable between 04.5-07 and the 08+ S40s?

anybody know how many new parts i would need to change out?

I would be inclinded to say it would take a whole lot of work. You would have to change the entire lower part of the center console to do it. Not to mention you would have to play with the waterfall dash. I think it might be more trouble than it is worth.

It doesn't look like it would be too bad at all. It looks as if the most difficult part to do will be to swap out the ebrake handle. They are usually riveted in and not a part of the console. They look to be oriented differently in each car.

Assuming the bottom of the waterfall lines up, and the holes for the console mounting are the same, the rest would be cake.
