I had Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+ on my P1 C70 (235/40R18, just like the R) and loved them! Perfect for Seattle, with frequent rain interspersed with a surprising amount of dry roads and occasional light snow. Very good balance of grip and wear, and not horribly expensive.

Is there a reason why you chose the Control Contact Sport SRS+ (specially made for Discount Tire) over the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus?
I don't recall exactly but probably a combination of price and availability. They're pretty similar, Discount Tire probably had a promo or something.
Yes, there are better tires for winter and better tires for summer, even at that price point, but these proved to be a very good all-around all-season everyday day tire. Someone on another thread mentioned they could be a little "squealy" in corners, but on the C70, combined with a strut bar, caster kit, and a good alignment, I had no problems.
Also, I really like the snowflake/raindrop/sunshine markers that Conti puts on the tread block - I could tell at a glance when rotating the tires if there was enough tread depth for upcoming weather.
