I was wondering if anyone knows what is all involved in removing the OEM Nav and what parts would one need to replace to make it look like OEM.
I had the Pioneer AVIC D1 in my VW R32 and really want to install the new AVIC Z1 unit.

Re: 06 S60R Nav Removal Help (MightyQ)

if you pull it out you would need to replace the center speaker grill and possibly the speaker. To remove the stearing wheel controls you might have to swap out the steering wheel. I've been looking at putting nav in my wife's R. Why dont you send me your parts and I'll send you mine

Why bother removing it? Just use the monitor for something else. I'm sure the pioneer has secondary aux outs and dual zone.

Yes it is Chris however you will need a special converter. However you also need a trigger to make the navigation unit go up and down.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you wanted you can by your new Pioneer deck and run the video from it to your nav screen as well.... have 2 screens displaying at once....
Kinda keep your eye more on the road....
