Right now I have a stock 05 s60r gt with 140k mileage on it. I've done a stage 0

right now on the car

engine: ipd coils, ipd boost tubes with ipd blow off valve, ipd tcv, ipd upper and lower engine mounts, new hoses to tcv, new o2 sensors

shocks: 4 new 4c shocks, all new front suspension part. ipd rear camber kit

Now for my performance upgrade

ipd intercooler or front mount intercooler
ipd downpipe and exhaust
ipd track spec swaybars
ipd lowering spring
Hillton tune stage 2.5
custom ram air to air box
audi mass flow

What else should I add to my list or change on my list?

what type of air box should I run?

Keep with the stock airbox and just add an extra CAI like I did in the link below.

I like your list with the exception of the audi MAF. Is hilton requiring that? If not just keep with the stock MAF/airbox/filter since it flows well if you give it another big inlet.

Hilton recommends bigger maf for his stg 2.5 iirc

If that is the case then you may also want to add the Snabb intake kit to your list, just check my rebuild thread linked below since it requires a bit of tweaking for a good fit.

Not sure if the stock airbox can be modified to use the other MAF, but perhaps someone else who has done the swap can chime in on that.

Definately helps to get rid of that stock intake pipe. Its a bottleneck for max airflow

Boost gauge first and foremost, then Vida.

I installed an aftermarket TCV before I had a boost gauge. Drove it for a couple of months and then installed the boost gauge, on my first drive I was boosting past 26psi. Removed the TCV and cured it.

Vida is crucial for communicating with the car. You can get them cheap on ebay.

After that intercooler and ipd sways.

I got vida and got a boost gauge. I make around 10 psi and shift will go up to 12-13 psi. I have ipd air intake from the air box which was a pain in the ass to install.

10 psi is low, sorting that out would be the next step.

That is not how the system is supposed to work, the boost is electronically controlled and the wastegate is meant to be set to a cracking pressure of about 7-8 PSI.

Why would they be doing anything to lower your boost?

Because a lot of dealers (worldwide) dont know much about the specifics of these cars.
I would't be suprised if they didn't have the special tools to follow R model wastegate adjusting procedure.

Nevermind. Just saw the first post. You might have that notorious detuned file. 10psi max. It was fixed some time in the past. Your dealer probably did a ECM reload. You should ask for a ECM upgrade. It costs more, but you get your 15psi back.
But i would just wait for Hilton do his magic. You'll love it

I knew that some of the earlier 04 GTs were capped at 10psi max, but didn't realize that Volvo came out with a fix for that!

Well, there are many people involved in calibration of these engines. Looking at the ECM software files, there is usually a name of the calibrator and date when it was made.
I guess early in the days one of the guys at Volvo messed up something. But one must load ECM upgrade. This reads current software and updates module with the latest. Hopefully latest file is made by someone else and gives the promised performance.
ECM reload does what it says. It reloads the current software. It is used when something corrupts the software for example.

Very interesting.. so for the 04 GTs, you're saying that with a ECM reload/upgrade (I'm assuming by Volvo themselves), the "10psi max detuned file" will be overwritten with one that gives the promised 14.7psi file?

I can't say for 100% as i have not tested. I just know there is detuned file that supposedly was a ln error. And there is a possibilty that it overwrites it with the right thing

Somebody must fork out the money and test. Again only ECM Upgrade will do it if at all

Gotcha. I figured if you knew that for a fact, it would greatly help many 04 GT owners who are "stuck" with a 10psi cap. :)
