FV-QR

Everytime I say/post that it's not stick, I get embarassed... but I got a great deal on the car and had no intentions of keeping it this long (great deal 9 months ago... isn't exactly a great deal anymore!)

dont fret. alot of nice sporty cars dont even come in manual stateside.<p>There was the same thread started not too long ago and alot of people chimed in, and no one had a failure and they had alot of miles.

FV-QR

Great... I just peeked over 50k miles and, with the economy, see myself holding on to this thing for a while...

Tiptronic was Porsche's version of geartronic that Volvo has.

Maybe I'm just jealous. I wish my GT was a stick anyway. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/confused.gif" BORDER="0"> Yeah, I own a GT, but like someone else mentioned, I got a deal I couldn't pass up. I do love mine, just wish I had the standard.<p><br>Regardless, I know this topic is somewhat regular, but as I add mods to mine, I'm glad to continue to hear from people with miles confirming their GT transmissions are holding up.

There is a guy here in atlanta that has one of the most modded S60R Gt's there is and is still on his orginal tranny. He has been modded for over 140,000 miles. No issues as of yet.
